Program Highlights

As a medical assistant, you’ll have the chance to make patients feel at ease. Be an integral part of a medical team as you perform administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

This program covers the structure and function of major body systems along with medical terminology, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, computer skills, administrative processes, bookkeeping and accounting practices, and the processing of medical insurance forms and claims.

You’ll receive preparation to take one of the following credentialing exams: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

  • 10-month diploma program
  • 3 times/per week on campus + online coursework
  • 60 credits
  • 920 contact hours
  • 200 hours externship

You’ll get the feel of what it’s like to work in a hospital or clinic as you practice hands-on training for a career as a medical assistant. Train with modern tools and technology that mimics working in a real healthcare setting.
