Program Highlights

This program focuses on theories and concepts of nursing while developing professional skills, including situational leadership and management principles. As a graduate of this nursing program, you’ll be able to deliver culturally proficient care while meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of clients.

This program is approved for state licensure by the Florida State Board of Nursing. You’ll be prepared to take the NCLEX-RN exam for registered nurse licensure through the Assessment Technologies Institute® (ATI).

Learn what it’s like to work in a real hospital or clinic with modern tools and technology used in today’s healthcare settings. You’ll practice CPR, diagnose health problems from basic assessment to advanced life-support skills and practice labor and delivery care using simulation manikins for scenario-based learning. Learn how to check vital signs, track patient care, recognize and respond to respiratory emergencies, shock and cardiopulmonary arrest and use SimMan and SimBaby alongside SimCenter to provide standardized scenarios to ensure you have a consistent educational experience to provide quality patient care.

Flexible Blended Learning to Help Balance Life and School

This program features a blend of online and on-campus learning to help make going to school work for you. Depending on your schedule, you’ll spend 2-5 days per week on campus with additional online coursework for your general education classes so you can learn on your own time. This allows you to work more closely with your instructors when you’re on campus to practice hands-on learning and ask questions.

This course is a scientific study of the structure of the human body and its parts including relationships and functions of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous system, special senses and the endocrine systems.

This course is a scientific study that provides an understanding of the basic concepts and principles of anatomy and physiology through a laboratory experience. It integrates the structure and function of the human body and its parts as related to cells, tissues, skeletal, muscular, nervous systems, sense organs, and stress.

This course provides instruction and practice in expository writing and emphasizes grammatical and mechanical accuracy and proper essay form.

This course will introduce you to the skills needed to think critically, make informed decisions, provide reason from evidence, and become numerically literate to understand how numbers are used to communicate in their everyday lives.

This course is a study of the structure of the human body and its parts including relationships and functions of the cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.

This course is designed to prepare you for transitions in their nursing education and life.
