Our Nursing Associate of Science program prepares you to take the National Council Licensure Examination, which is required to work as a registered nurse. Once you’ve passed the exam, you’ll be ready to obtain a state license, demonstrating to potential employers, you’ve met the professional requirements to begin your career as a registered nurse.
Preparation and testing are included in the program at no extra cost for the following license exam:

This course is a scientific study of the structure of the human body and its parts including relationships and functions of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous system, special senses, and the endocrine systems.
This course is designed to provide you with an overall understanding of basic microbiology, infection control, disease processes and the body’s defenses against them, and wound healing, as well as the terminology associated with each of these areas of concentration.
In this course, you’ll be introduced to the art and science of nursing, the philosophy and framework of the Altierus Career College nursing program, and the core components of Associate Degree Nursing, with a focus on professionalism, assessment, and communication.
This course is a study of the dynamic relationship between adjustment mechanisms, stress, and their effect on the personality with a focus on the role of the nursing in mental health and illness throughout the life span.
